Opposite Unity
The world is small, considering the massive space around it. Yet, the world is abundant when measured by each human that inhabits it. Earth is its opposite mass, and the lives upon it are no different.
Imagine the moments before a mother gives birth and the joy that emerges from this glorious event — the air around the scene filled with anticipation and excitement. The cries of a precious life fill the ears and hearts of the eagerly waiting family.
In perfect coexistence across the planet, a woman weeps in deep sorrow as a nurse hands her the lifeless body of her newly born child. The ache and grief are too heavy to carry, and no one can hold her hand. Alone, quiet, and emerged in the loss.
Turn your imagination to the day the mother and father of the living infant were married. She wore a stunning long lace white gown adorned with an equally majestic veil, a lovely princess waiting enduringly to be at her prince’s side. He stood nervously at the altar, his heart consumed by love for the woman walking toward him. A union of harmony and blessings sealed with a kiss.
This wedding day wasn’t a fancy-filled fairytale for the grieving mother. On this day, she sat longingly at her dying husband’s bedside. She was holding his hand close to her heart. Tears are untamable, and sobs are deeply woeful. Today was one of the most unbearable days of her life. She kissed him while his heart slowed to a stop.
The simultaneous kiss shared across the globe represented a new start and a farewell — opposite unity.
